David Karczewski owns and operates Dave’s Garage. Dave is a native of Traverse City, and has over 35 years of experience in the automotive repair industry. He is certified in all phases of repair, and is a Master Toyota Technician. Dave and his wife Beth have two children, Nan Perez (son-in-law Nick) & Bill (daughter-in-law Ashley). Dave always believes you should be prepared for anything – that’s why he took his mitt to this Tiger’s game. Hurray for foul balls!

The first guy you meet when you come to Dave’s is John Jorgensen, Service Coordinator. John is a relocated “Yooper”, moving to Traverse City in the mid 90’s. John has always had a passion for cars and trucks – he has owned numerous vehicles, his favorite being a 1969 Chevy El Camino. He shares his life with two children, Amanda and Shane. In his spare time, John enjoys boating on Elk Lake, NASCAR and hunting.

Auto tech Dave Carney has nearly 40 years of experience in the industry. Dave is northwest Michigan’s Volvo expert… if he can’t figure it out, no one can! Dave and his wife, Cheech, have two grown children and enjoy camping and canoeing. Recently they visited the northern boundary waters of Bissett, Manitoba. When he’s not paddling, Dave enjoys reading and fine dining.

Tech Milton Marentette is a third generation auto mechanic with 10 years of experience. While electronics was his first career choice, he quickly realized that modern vehicles offer the best of both worlds. An ASE Master Technician, Milton operates the latest and greatest scan tool technologies, and specializes in automotive computer systems. Outside of the shop, he loves spending time in the great outdoors hunting, fishing and camping with his two kids.

Jay Bearup interned with Dave’s Garage as a new graduate. He has now spent 6 years working and training as an auto technician, and has recently earned his ASE Master Technician Certification. He graduated top of his class at Wyotech in Sacramento with specialties in high performance power trains and chassis fabrication. When Jay isn’t souping up his own Lexus, you can find him long boarding around town, out on the lake wakeboarding, or hitting the slopes with his snowboard in the winter.
