Q: Why do I need to have my car dropped off first thing in the morning?

Dave: There are occasions when a job takes more or less time than anticipated. Having your car for the day helps us to make the best use of our time and ours. We are always happy to give you a ride to work in the morning.

Q: If my engine makes a funny noise, should I drive it?

Dave: Our opinion is always "no". If you hear strange noises or a dash light comes on, pull over and consult your owners manual. An oil light can mean that you have no oil pressure which is very serious. If you drive the car even one more mile, it can make the difference between a repair of $30 and one of $3000! Those small noises usually become big noises: which are proportionately related to the cost of the repair.

Q: Should I get snow tires for my Toyota Camry?

Dave: I always ask: Would you wear your summer shoes out in the snow? Snow tires make an incredible difference in the traction and safety of driving your car during the unpredictable winter months. Personally, I have snow tires on all of our family vehicles.

Q: I just bought a brand new car. Can I still bring it in to Dave's?

Dave: Yes! Every car, even the new ones require regular oil changes and maintenance during the warranty period and beyond. The good news is that routine maintenance does not have to be performed by the dealer to meet your new car warranty requirements. Our technicians are ASE certified to perform all the manufacturers recommended services and insure the manufacturers warranty remains in effect. The warranty simply requires that you perform the factory recommended maintenance services at the appropriate mileage intervals. Regular service bulletins and publications keep us on top of the service game.
